A book review | The fault in our stars

Yes! Yes! Yes! I did read it. It was beautiful! I even cried. And there is less than a month left untill the film premiere!
To be honest I did not bought the book myself. It was a present for my birthday. Recently I was wondering if I shoud buy the book because I knew that this was a story about the death. But the day after my birthday I started reading it and till the end of the day I have already read it.
At the beginning it was a little bit boring but then came the bad part and I cried ( I usually cry when I am reading this kind of books). My expectations what was going to happen were completely different from the way it ended.  I was shocked! And NO I am not going to resume the plot because I think that most of you know what it is about.
I liked this book because it was not from one of those preprinted love stories. It was somethig that can touch your heart and you can whispere "WOW!". But you know that the story is a fantasy and not based on a real event which I liked. I love reading fantasy and historical novels and I do not like when these two genres are mixed. I want to be shure if I am reading a fantasy story and a historical facts! That is why I love and recommend you this book.

My favorite quotes from the book:

"Some people do not understand the promise they are making when thay make them."
"Right, of course. But you keep the promise anyway. That's what love is. Love is keeping the promise anyway."

"The world is not wish-granding factory."

“Without pain, how could we know joy?' This is an old argument in the field of thinking about suffering and its stupidity and lack of sophistication could be plumbed for centuries but suffice it to say that the existence of broccoli does not, in any way, affect the taste of chocolate.”

The Big Start | Walt Disney

Walt Disney

As we all know Walt Disley is an innivator in the entertainment industry. His career started as an animator, who gave life to Mickey Mause and his friends which gift smiles to the people all over the world. Disney tries to direct and produce films, writes scenarios and he is also an entrepreneur.

Disneyland

One of his best ideas was born due to his disare for a place where the whole family could enjoy. Disappointed with the lack of clean and spacious parks, he decided to open his own one. He spent five years to create Disneyland. What Walt said to Herb Ryman (who created the first drawing of Disneyland presented to the Bank of Amerika) was "Herbie, I just want it to look like nothing else in the world. And it should be surrounded by a train". Entertaining his daughters and their friends in his backyard and taking them for a rides on his Carolwood Pacific Railroad had inspired Disney to include a railroad in the plans for Disneyland.

Walt Disney's quote "If you can dream about something, then you can do it".

The Big Start | Coco Chanel

Chanel

As a girl who is into fashion I can not miss the one and only Gabrielle Chanel. I am sure she is an inspiration for every disigner after her age. But this is not gonna be a post about her life. I wanted to folllow the way she started her career. Of courese it is a big deal to continue the life work of such an innovative person but this maight be another post.

The Coco Chanel era (1909-1920)

The first step Coco took was to open a small milinery shop. At that time the french rich men used to display their wealth on their mistesses. As a smart woman she saw the opportunity to sell them her products. Thus she made some money and with the help of a wealthy man she opened her first independant shop(Chanel Models). Two years later her shops offered for sale sports clothes for women. Coco also opened a large dress shop near hotel Ritz in Paris. Gabrielle used a jersey cloth for some of the garments that she made and some of the designes derived from the military uniform of the First World War. Almost 10 years after she had opened her first shop, a magazine (Harper's Bazaar) spreaded her fame by saying that the garments she had  created were "on the list of every bayer". After the First World War, Chanel designed beaded dresses and woman's suit of clothes. Sooner she commissioned the perfumer Beaux to create a perfume for the Hause of Chanel - Chanel №5 ( name after the number of the sample Coco liked best).

So this was the rise of Coco Chanel. I am surprised how a woman managed to do this all alone ( she was an orphan) at a hard period of time for the whole world. It was not easy I agree with this, she was even a mistess but I can forgive her about that because that was the path for her to show that mignificent talent to the world.
I want to end this post with something Chanel said "Success is often achieved by those who don't know that failure is inevitable."
P.S. Totally agree with you Coco!

The Big Start

No....no, calm down this is not a post about the BIG BANG :)
I bet that everyone of you have ever felt uninspired and wanting to quit evetyone and everything around you. And ..... here come the role models. These people who you see on the TV screen, surrounded by all those bling. But some of them were not born stars, they had to pass through a long and difficult way to reach the top where they are sitting now, waving to you and absorbing all the applause you gift them.
I do not know if it would be interesting for you but I found it really entertaining to understand how the people who seem untouchable have started their career, to learn from all the mistakes they have done and follow all the right steps they have taken.
Reading their stories inspires me in some way. This is why I desided to start the rubric "The Big Start". Here I wanted to share with you the beginnig, the bottom, the really start of some celebrities. So keep watching for the first post of the rubric. Hope you enjoy it!

Jacksgap

A post about these adorable twenty-one-year old twins.

I've recently started reading Jack and Fin's blog which inspired me, they inspired me. They are two young men who travel around the world, work with awsome charities and make films about their exciting life!
Here is what they say:
JacksGap is a project we launched to document our gap year. We wanted to create a space where we could share the films we made and engage directly with an audience. Since it launched in 2012, it has allowed us to travel and connect with other creators around the world.
The project has now gone beyond our gap year and we continue to create films about the places we go and the people we meet. Although JacksGap started as a channel on Youtube – It’s since expanded into a blog where we highlight creative projects that inspire us, and feature the people that we admire.

I really really admire these two people who achieved a lot for their young age and involved so many other people in their projects!
Here are the links where you can find them:

Take a little walk in | Europe (Eight unforgettable days in the west of Bulgaria)

It's been almost five months since I have returned from that memorable and full of emotions journey. Now I sit in front of my computer hit so many memories and amazing experiences around Europe. So let’s get it started.

After a year of expectation, finally the end of the school year came. Not only the end of the school year but also the beginning of our journey. That was the first time I was travelling so far from my country. I was excited!
It was the third of July. Early in the morning we were all in front of hotel Trimntsium, from where we left for Switzerland, CERN, which was our purpose. And the excursion began.
We traveled through Serbia, we saw Belgrade , and passed through Croatian and after 17 hours we arrived in the capital of Slovenia - Ljubljana . After so many hours spent in the bus we couldn’t wait to check in, get some sleep and prepare for the next day when we had to travel a lot more.
The next day we left for Geneva. The day was very exciting for me because I was going to see the Alps. We went through the Simplon Pass. The view that opened up for me was fascinating. The majesty of this mountain made all of us stand up and "stuck" our cameras to the windows. Later we saw the famous Lake Geneva, the second largest lake in Central Europe where we could also watch  a splendid view of the magnificent Alps. It was July, but the temperatures below the Alps did not feel like summer.
On the third day of our journey we visited CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research). It is located on the territory of two countries - France and Switzerland. When we arrived at CERN a very friendly Bulgarians welcomed us. They were our guides. Our first visit was of the detector - ATLAS. Fortunately there was a prophylaxis of the detectors and we had the opportunity to go down to 100 meters under the ground and see it. Then we listened to a lecture as an introduction to CERN, which have helped us to understand what is happening in the detectors and accelerators, and what work is being done at CERN. At lunch and we headed to the restaurant first. Surprisingly as it may sound, it was one of the places that greatly impressed me. The restaurant looked like a collection of nations. Around me it was full of people of different races, speaking different languages, from different countries, even continents. All these people were smiling, happy , enthusiastic , motivated, which made me feel great .
Our next destination - the palace of the United Nations. There we were able to see so different and interesting rooms and corridors. I have never imagined that such a diplomatic place could be so aristocratic and ornate. I was impressed that everything there was a gift from a country, even the tiles on the floor and on the walls. When you’re walking down the corridors you can see a variety of pictures from around the world.
The trip around Geneva continued. If there is a place that I would come back one day, this is definitely Geneva. Everything there was so tidy and clean . In the old town we saw the Flower Clock ,  whose 6000 colors change every season and the cathedral " St. Peter ." We were very disappointed when we found out that we won’t be able to see the largest fountain in Europe because it was stopped. And because we were in Switzerland , as a lover of chocolate I could not miss this chance to experience a taste of Swiss chocolate.
The fourth day began in CERN. Our group was included in a physical experiment to observe cosmic rays in the particle detector that we built ourselves . The experiment was conducted personally by the director of the educational department in the center  Mr. Mick Storr. We visited the room in which at real-time particle were register by the AMS detector / alpha magnetic spectrometer / installed on the International Space Centre. We saw the headquarters of the Computer Centre, and of all accelerators. We heard a fascinating lecture on the work of the Large Hadron Collider underground and about the detectors registered " divine particle" - the Higgs boson . Our day continued with a visit to Annecy - a small town located in the Alps. Also called the Second Venice due to the channel in the center of town. I strongly recommend you to try the ice cream there - one of the attractions of Annecy .
On the fifth day of our trip we visited Vevey . The hometown of Charlie Chaplin, where is also located the building of the Nestle chocolate . We went to the next town situated on the Lake Geneva - Montreux. We visited Castle Chillon which atmosphere of a palace and a prison , was able to transfer me back in the Middle Ages. We went to the city of Milan . Next - a memorable walk along the center of Milan, where you can sit and enjoy an aromatic Italian coffee .We visited no less memorable Milan Cathedral , which architecture impressed even me - a sixteen -year-old girl who has no idea of what architecture is.
We continued our walk through northern Italy as we went to Verona. Stroll through Piazza Ebre , visited the houses of Romeo and Juliet and enjoyed delicious Italian pasta .
After a night near Verona , the bus drove off to our final destination - Venice. There we waited for a boat that took us to the old town. We went to San Marco Square , through the Bridge of Sighs and the Doge's Palace . Invigorated by the Venetian coffee, went to the Rialto Bridge , as we passed through the small and narrow but charming streets of Venice. Headed to Ljubljana, where was our last night .
Even unforgettable everything has an end. We saw a world famous cities, a worldwide famous landmarks only for seven days that I can not even believe it. It was unique, memorable , interesting and fun. Traveling to Bulgaria I wished I could bring the time seven days back and live those emotions again , but time is in front of me and I'm sure that one day I will go through these amazing places which are a result of the work and mind of man and the greatness of nature.
Know the world to love it . I can not wait to see what new adventure awaits me next summer.
